ARNOLDSON-FISCHOF, SIGRID. Cabinet card portrait of the Swedish opera-singer Sigrid Arnoldson-Fischof by Félix Nadar, about 1890. Mounted on printed card, good condition. Dedication on the portrait.

Félix Nadar (in reality Gaspard-Félix Tournachon, 1820-1910), famous French photographer, journalist, author, and balloonist.
Sigrid Arnoldson-Fischof (1861-1943), Swedish coloratura soprano opera singer with an active career at the end of the 19th and into the 20th century. Music critics believed she was Jenny Lind´s successor and dubbed her "the new Swedish Nightingale". Her voice is preserved on several recordings made in Berlin for the Gramophone Company between 1906 and 1910.
