8:o. Engraved frontispiece, title printed in red and black with engraved vignette, 1 folding printed table, 30 engraved plates (all, depicting coins and medals, some foxing).
New olivebrown half leather, slightly faded spine in five compartments, marbled edges. Minor foxing. Signature on title of Samuel Älf Ups (ala) 1756, and one other.
Samuel Älf (1727-1799), latin poet, book-collector, titular professor in Uppsala 1762, dean in Linköping in 1781. See Carlander II pp. 590-592.
