Sigismund Frantz, born at Innsbruck as the second son of Archduke Leopold V and Claudia de´Medici. Ordained bishop of Augsburg in 1646, in 1653 bishop of Gurk and 1659 bishop of Trent. He became Archduke of Further Austraia after the death of his brother Archduke Ferdinand Charles in 1662. With his death in 1665, the younger Tyrolean line of the Habsburg House ended.
