Folio. 3 engraved title leaves with vignettes (all, some marginal dampstaining and spotting, cut in lower outer corner), 5 engraved portraits (all, cut in lower outer corner, minor marginal dampstaining and spotting), 24 partly folding engraved maps and plates (all, some cut in outer lower corner, some marginal wearing, some minor dampstaining and spotting, about 5 plates close cut with some minor text loss in upper margin), many engravings in the text.
Later (midnineteenth century) partly worn black half leather, somewhat gilt spines. Throughout cut in lower outer corner. Partly dampstained in the margins, some foxing and spotting. 3 volumes.

The portraits are engraved by Fritsch. One of the engraved vignettes ( p. III p. 882) is the oldest known Scandinavian picture of a working printing office.
