Folio. (410x240 mms). 182 engraved plates with 11 more (all, about 5 plates with tears, especially the 4 folding ones, partly with tears to margins, 1 with larger stain, partly soiled and foxed, some dampstainings to outer margins, a few printed on blue paper).
Contemporary full calf, worn and rubbed, spine in compartments and with title label, damages to lower and upper part of spines, some restorations. Errata leaf to sectio III loose and cut to quarto. Old signature on endpaper. Text partly with some spotting and foxing, a few with dampstains, some staining to margins in the beginning, some pages with some creasing, 1 title leaf with marginal paper loss. Some pages printed on blue paper. 2 vols. Photo.
Justus Christian Loder (1753-1832), German anatomist and surgeon, professor in among others Jena. He was a personal physcian both to the Prussian Royal family as well as to Czar Alexander I.
