A GUITAR, motif from the first album "Europe", Special Edition produced for Europe 30th Anniversary, airbrushed by Lazy Joe, Gibson/Epiphone (Studio Les Paul Model), signed by all members of Europe
HISTORY: The album cover for "Europe" (Debut Album 1983) was originally a group shot of the band used in the Nordic countries. The band prefered the japanese version of the cover depicting two statues standing next to an ancient building: the Karlskirche Cathedral in Vienna, Austria, and the angels from the Ponte Sant´Angelo in Rome.The cover also shows the first varation of the now classic Europe logo. It was designed by Teijo Niemistö, brother to Europe´s first drummer, Tony Reno.
The motif on the guitar illustrates an adaptation of the japanese album cover with focus on one of the angels, appearing to play guitar.
