HANDWRITTEN PRAYER BOOK. "Katolisches Gebet-Buch". Handwritten partly decorated or illustrated manuscript in German. Undated, but about 1840-1860.
8:o. Colour illustrated frontispiece, title illustrated in colour, 1 black and white illustration, text pp. 1-382 in black and colours, often surrounded by decorative frames in colours, many small decorations in colours, register 4 pages, last leaf with black and white figures surrounding the text "MKühn fecit".
Contemporary black leather binding, somewhat worn, gilt frames, metal decorations in the corners, middle of upper cover with Christ on the cross in metal, other metal decoration on lower cover, metal clasps and fittings, gilt spine in four compartments, all edges gilt.
