Contemporary brown half leather, crack in upper hinge, gilt spine in six compartments, marbled edges. First book edition, early issue.

Printed title-page reading "With Illustrations on Steel and Wood by the Author", impr. on title verso without street adress of publisher, dedication leaf in small type, 20 lines text on p. 29, "Mr. Pitt" on p. 453 line 31, no advertisments.
