Contemporary brown calf, somewhat worn, richly gilt spines in six compartments, marbled edges. Some occasional spotting and staining, with some marginal browning and occasional faint marginal dampstaining. Library stamp (Sv Läkare Sällskapet) on titles. Library duplicate (withdrawn) label on first endpapers. 2 volumes.
This is the most complete version of Mauriceau´s classic work, first published in 1668. The second volume provides a compendium of about 700 case histories dealing with pregnancy and childbirth as well as with the diseases and problems of the newborn.
