Later (19th century), brown half leather, somewhat worn, slightly faded gilt spines, speckled edges. Titles and a few laves with some dampstaining in lower margin. 2 volumes.

Simon Pelloutier (1694-1757), French historian and protestant priest, also librarian of the Academy of Sciences in Berlin.
This work, the authors most important, was first published in Hague 1740-50, this edition was edited by Chiniac de la Bastide. An octavo edition was also published.
