Contemporary full leather binding, blindtooled decor on covers, no title on spine, very worn and rubbed, damaged corner, upper board partly loose, split joints. Title creased and with small damage to inner margin, some soiling, dampstaining and spotting, also to text.

Kress 1908. First and only edition.
Important work by Lowndes (1652-1724), who was appointed Secretary to the Treasury in 1695.
