Elliger, double page engraved dedication, 1 engraved map with double hemisphaere [Nova delineatio totius orbis terrarum, c. 265x350 mm] by van der Aa, 2 engraved plates, 10 engraved portraits, about 550 large engraved vignettes (front and plates with minor spotting, mostly marginal, map with browned centrefold, repaired on verso, tear to lower margin).
Contemporary full calf bindings, heavily worn and rubbed, some worming and damages, partly split inner joints, inside of covers with removed bookplates. 1 page with textloss in part IV [page 620], text partly spotted and browned, dampstains, some worming, mostly marginal, title to part 5 with tear, some other minor tears.
Complete.
