Contemporary brown full calf, somewhat worn, gilt borders, mended in the joints and hinges, worn gilt spines in six compartments, mended at head and foot, marbled edges. New endpapers. Last leaf in vol. I laid down, pp. 79-80 in vol. I mended in lower outer corner, pp. 101-102 torn in lower outer corner, pp. 327-330 and 335-336 mended in upper margins, pp. 385-388 and 463-464 mended in upper and lower margins, pp. 470-472 and 487-488 mended in upper margins. Presentation inscription on first endpaper in vol. I, signature on first endpaper in vol. II. Some offsetting from text to text. Some foxing and spotting. 2 volumes.
