Large oblong folio (365x530 mm). Engraved title, 60 aquatint engravings, of which 1 map, by Skjöldebrand - M. R. Heland - J. F. Martin - C. Akrell, size of plate about 325x475 mms, the margins smaller than usual (all, title spotted, about 12 plates spotted, 10 with folds or creases, all with foxing or spotting to margins, also some dampstaining to corners, upper margin corner bumped and partly with bite marks, partly erased pencil notes below text, 1 with restored lower margin on verso, plate 41 with minor tear to margin, plate 4 with cut upper margin, text somewhat spotted and with some marginal dampstains, some minor repairs).
Near contemporary half leather, worn, rubbed and with damages, especially to one corner, warped covers, gilt spine in compartments, blue speckled edges.

The drawings are all made by Skjöldebrand and 31 are also engraved by him, the others engraved by M. Heland, J. F. Martin och C. Agrell. Skjöldebrand travelled together with Acerbi. There are 29 plates showing Norway.
