Rebacked contemporary calf, red label on spine. Older owners´ signatures, exlibris on front board inside. Some damp, stains and occasional notes with ink.
Lacks the plates depicting City of Irivan, City of Tauris, City of Sultanie, City of Kom, Sepulchre of Abas, Sepulchre of Sefie and City of Cashan, also 2/3 of the Ecs-Miazin plate.
English translation same year as the French original. All published of Chardin´s projected 4-volume work.
