8vo. 25,5 x 17,5 cm. (4), 16, (132) pp. With 66 coloured engraved plates. A bit worn red contemporary half calf.
Title on spine also "La Chine...", but in fact only 4 of the plates depict Chinese costumes. The remaining plates are of Turkish (16), Austrian (16), English (16), and Russian (14) costumes. Each plate can be paired with a two-page text (the 132 unpaginated), but the volume seems to be a compilation from different parts of Eyriè´s work "Costumes, moeurs at usages de tous les peuples".
