8vo. 21 x 13,5 cm. Plates 301-449, hand-coloured engravings. Worn near contemporary half calf with tooled and gilt spine. Owner´s signature of James Dawson on front board inside. A few plates with faint impressions of once preserved plants.
149 (out of 600) plates, constituting volume 4 and first half of volume 5 of the 6-volume work. The original edition, "Icones plantarum medicinalum" was published in Nuremberg 1797-90 and with text in Latin.
