Large 8vo. 27,5 x 21,5 cm. 382, (1) pp. With 8 tipped-in colour plates and numerous in black and white. Publisher´s calf with gilt spine, giltframe on front board and gilt upper dege. Head of spine worn and corners, as is front board hinge.
Second edition, but first with the colour plates. This was Harry Clarke´s (1889-1931) breakthrough as a book illustrator -after a couple of false starts and mishaps. His name is often mention in connection with Rackham, Nielsen and Dulac.
