Later brown half calf with gilt spine with five raised bands, green cloth boards with double ruled gilt filets and all edges gilt (Riviere & Son). Slight wear to spine and corners. Occasional very light foxing, some offsetting from plates to text, but overall an unusually clean copy.
First book edition. Both the engraved and printed titles dated 1850.
