Published for the 1829 work "Le Antichita Romane".
About 400 x 545 mm. The plate is dated "Roma 1822" in the lower margin.
A large view of the temple of Fortuna Virilis with Santa Maria in Cosmedin in the background. Executed by the master engraver and etcher Luigi Rossini (1790- 1857).
Rossini worked in the great tradition of Piranesi and became the final depicter of the ruins and arceological sites of Rome before photography replaced the graphic artists.

Published for the 1704 work "Nouveau Theatre D´Italie, Ou Description Exacte De Ses Villes, Palais, Eglises" by Pierre Mortier in Amsterdam after a design by Joan Blaeu. About 470x 590 mm.

The arch of Titus was constructed in 81 A. D. in honur to the roman emperor Titus.
