Edition in 450 numbered copies, of which this is number 412.
The lithographic stones were engraved by Toulouse-Lautrec in 1895 for a series of chansons published by Joubert. Deltel numbers them 129 through 142.
A second series was also printed in 50 copies and with green.
After the printing of these editions, the stones were donated to the Cabinet des Estampes de la Bibliothèque National in Paris, ensuring that no more prints were made from them.
Provenance: Stefan Schueler (1920-2015), Swedish art book dealer who in 1972 opened / founded the specialized art book shop "Konst-Bibliofilen" in the Old Town, Stockholm, which lasted for 25 years.
