NORWEGIAN CRUISE WITH S/Y METEOR 1926. Private photograph album with 96 black and white prints, the last 2 larger, with captions (group portraits of passengers, issued by the cruise-line).
Leather album with leather-sown edges. 297 x 412 mm.

The steam yacht Meteor was completed in Hamburg in 1904 and operated by Hamburg-Amerikanische Paketfahrt AG. In 1921 it was purchased by Det Bergenska Dampskibsselskab, which sailed her until the German occupation in 1940. The Germans used her as a hospital ship, and she was sunk by Soviet bombers in 1945.
