Early aviators: H. R. D. Waghorn and Agustus Orlebar in connection with the Schneider Trophy, 1929, John Boothman and George Stainforth (Schneider Trophy, 1931), G. Herbert Scott of the R 101, Amy Johnson (letter 20th October 1931), Charles W. A. Scott and Tom Campbell Black (De Havilland DH 88 Comet, 1934), Jean Batten (New Zeeland-Britain solo flight, 1936), Masaaki Iinuma and Kenji Tsukagoshi (Tokyo-London, 1937, with the ´Kamikaze´), Alan John Cobham (Belgrade-London flight, 8th June 1922).
