4to. 263 x 204 mm. (6), X, 602 pp. Engraved frontispiece portrait of Gustav-Adolf, title printed page in red and black, 1 folding table, 4 folding engraved maps, 3 engraved folding battle plans. Slightly worn contemporary mottled calf with richly gilt spine and red edges. Minor wear to spine extremities. Occasional light foxing. Russian exlibris of Bibliotheca D. M. Ostafyeva.

Warmholz 310. Also published in 8:o. A not complete Swedish translation by Gjörwell was published in 1764-65. Mauvillon was a professor in French at the university of Braunschweig.
