Contemporary half calf with gilt spines with red and green labels, marbled boards and edges. Spines somewhat worn. A few minor stains. Occasional foxing, more in the beginning of volumes III-V. Exlibris of Frederick Seymour Clarke. 5 volumes.
French translation by Jean Baptiste de Chaux. Frederick Seymour Clarke (1855-1932), British diplomat. Served at the embassy in Stockholm 1902-04 and as General Consul in 1905.
