DIONI´S ANATOMY C. 1700. (DIONIS, PIERRE. L´anatomie de l´homme, suivant la circulation du sang & les dernieres découvertes...). No place, no date (Lyon, 1701?).
8vo. 179 x 118 mm. (14), 16, (16), 17-634, (18) pp. 1 engraved portrait, 21 engraved plates. Lacks title. Contemporary calf with gilt spine with gilt label and sprinkled edges. Recurring damp, minor stains throughout. Top quarter of leaf a4, pp. 109/-10 and 487/-88 lost, considerable loss of text. Plate at p. 99 loose, folding plate at p. 627 torn to pieces and with losses. Owner´s signature on rear board inside.
Third edition. The work was originally published in 1690 an appeared in many editions and translations. Pierre Dionis (1643-1718), French physician, surgeon to Louis XIV.
