8vo. 240 x 150 mm. xvi, 472, xii, 512 pp. Illustrated. 12 colour lithographed plates and 1 lithographed, partly in colour, map. Later half reptile leather with faded gilt green spines, marbled boards with gilt filets and marbled edges. A few minor stains. Pp. 367-71 in volume I soiled in margin. Pp. 231-34 in volume II loose and frayed at edges. Exlibris of John Wendt and Lennart Holmström respectively. 2 volumes.

One of the best accounts of 19th century Scandinavian, mainly Swedish, peasant hunting and fishing, with many interesting ethnographical and zoological observations.
