8vo. 203 x 126 mm. xxvi, 293, (1) pp. Illustrations in the text. With 55 mounted engraved plates with tissue-guards. Red morocco with gilt spine with 5 raised bands, gilt-framed boards with gilt inner bordures and gilt top edge. Some wear to hinges and raised bands. A clean copy. Exlibris of R. D. Jackson on front board inside.
First 8vo edition. An edition in 4to, with inferior plates, was published in 1821.
