Gustaf Retzius (1842-1919), Swedish naturalist, specializing in anatomy and histology. He published extensively on neurology, but drifted toward the more racially biased areas of anthropology. The first of these three works could be seen as a preamble to his first major works, on the hearing organs in vertebrates, from 1875-76.
Einar Lönnberg (1865-1942), Swedish zoologist and sometimes collaborator with Retzius.
Gustaf Adolf Hack d´Ailly (1855-1927), Swedish civil servant and zoologist, specialized in molluscs, especially African.
