Engraved and handcoloured plate of a Swedish officer in the days of the Napoleon wars, c. 300 x 215 mm. First edition.
This plate is numbered 17, in handwriting. Under passepartout. Title in handwriting under the image.
The regiments portraid by Eben were stationed in Swedish Pommern during the Napoleonic wars. Fredric von Eben´s work "The Swedish Army" contains 25 plates. The plates were engraved by Heideloff, a German who after the French revolution moved from Paris to London and started to work for Ackerman. Rare.
