4to. 255 x 200 mm. (51, 1 blank), 263, (49), 93 pp. Engraved extra title. Titel printed with red and black. Mottled contemporary full calf with gilt spine with raised bands and light brown label and sprinkled edges. Boards with gilt-stamped coat-of-arms of the city of ´s-Hertogenbosch in Brabant. Spine extremites torn at hinges. Premium inscription on fly leaf from headmaster J. Jungius and others to David van der Hammen, dated 1741, later owner´s signature (G. J. Bekker,m 1825) in the top right corner. A following blank leaf filled with notes on one side.
Important edition with comments by Burman and an appendix with critical notes by Richard Bentley.
