8vo. 210 x 125 mm. XII, 320, III-VII, (1), 309, (1) pp. 39 woodcut plates (out of 40). Worn green contemporary half calf with gilt spine with red label. Some stains, faint damp in top corner of all plates. Owners´ signatures on front fly leaf and on page 1 in part I.

First book edition. Originally published in 20 parts 1864-65.

The missing plate is listed to be inserted facing page 110 in part II, "Mr. Fledgeby Departs on his Errand of Mercy".
