8vo. (4), VI, 7-512 pp. 17 engraved plates, of which 2 music. 20 illustrations in the text, 5 on wood, 15 on copper. Contemporary calf boards, later spine, gilt in compartments and with red label, all edges marbled. Some foxing, minor stains and occasional markings with pencil. Uglier stains in and at margin pp. 101-02.
Seventh edition, though first of the famous Bagster edition.
