Small 8:o (about 154x98 mm.). (56), 1-420, (44), (190) pp. Title within nice figurative woodcut border, some nice woodcut initials. Last page with woodcut printer´s device.
Contemporary brown blindtooled calf on wooden boards, cracks in the joints, upper board partly loose, brass clasps and fittings (one clasp missing). Minor foxing. Old annotation on verso of title. Old signature from Heidelberg 1529 on first endpaper. With the library stamp of Roman Kaczmar.
VD 16 G1039. The second part, Annotationes, is by Petri Mosellanus.
Aulus Gellius (about 130 - about 180), Roman writer. Noctes Atticae (Attican nights) deals with student life in Athens, religion, philosophy, food, literature etc.
