AMSTERDAM. COVENS - MORTIER. Plan de la Grande & Fameuse Ville Marchande d´Amsterdam / Plan van de wyd vermaarde en Beroemede koop stad Amsterdam. Covens - Mortier, c. 1730.
Handcoloured engraved plan with richly decorated cartouche in lower part. C. 565x970 mm.
Some folds, slight soiling, 2 dark spots at left part, some dampstaining, small tear to lower right edge. There are four short tears (0.5" to 2" in length) at far right that have been closed on verso with archival tape. A 6" strip of masking tape was placed along the top left edge of the sheet on verso, which has since been removed with remnants only visible on verso.
A nice impression with full original color and gilt highlights.
