Dark red half leather binding, worn, richly gilt spine in compartments and with gilt title, worn and with split joints (repaired), upper part of spine renovated. Lacking wrapper.

First edition. With lithographs after posters by J. Chéret, H. Meunier, V. Mucha, T. A. Steinlen, F. Stuck, H. de Toulouse-Lautrec and others.
Fine handbook on Art Nouveau posters published shortly after a famous German exhibition in 1896 in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (Hamburg).
