Large 4:o (about 365x265 mm). (4), (1)-35 ll.Title with engraved vignette, 6 full-page engraved plates, 12 engraved half-page head- and tail-vignettes, and 6 engraved initials, all by Johann Sebastian Muller and Charles Grignion after drawings by Richard Bentley.
Contemporary brown mottled calf, worn, gilt borders, mended in the joints, faded gilt spine in seven compartments, speckled edges. Last 8 leaves with some minor marginal worming. Minor spotting. Armorial bookplate of Blayney Townley Balfour. In a new marbled paper case.
First edition, third state with"Designs, &c." on half-title and the letter "p" printed properly throughout p. 26
