Photographs of Egypt c. 1880

PHOTOGRAPHS OF EGYPT. About 120 albumen prints of Egypt, c. 1880, size about 210x275 mms. All photographs are prints for the tourist trade with printed text and mounted on stiff boards in an album. Most photographs with inventory number and text (many faded or partly faded, some spotting /and foxing, a few with minor damages to corners, minor tear to a few).
Album oblong folio with metal clasp and fittings (c. 290x420 mms), contemporary black full calf, partly worn and soiled, rubbing to edges, cracks in inner joints.

Images include many views of the Egyptian pyramids and monuments (both exterior and interior), the mummy of Seti I, some scenes from Kairo or Alexandria, and sceneries with Egyptians and tourists.
