4to. 59 coloured lithographed plates and 1 uncoloured and 3 engraved plates of fishing tackles (all, some slight spotting or foxing, a few plates browned, text with some foxing and browning, small dampstain to corner in the beginning, small spot to margin of 4 leaves).
Later green half calf, partly worn, gilt spine in compartments, faded (Isbergs bokbinderi, Norrköping). Bookplate on first endpaper.
Dal 314, Nissen: ZBI 1435, Lindberg, Swedish books, 62. With the 44-page appendix on fishing tackles in Scandinavia (Beskrifning öfver de i Skandinavien bruklige fiskredskap med figurer), but without the Latin text.
Collation: (upper yellow wrapper to a fascicule dated 1846 placed as title). (I)-IV, (1)-220, (lacking 2 pp), 3-44, (2) pp. (Lacking the Latin text. Lacking wrapper, printed title missing. Lacking 2 pages [221-222]).
Provenance: Nils G. Ahlin (Ulriksfors, Sweden, owned the largest private book collection in north of Sweden, about 6000 volumes).
Erik Hallqvist, Östersund (born 1887), bookstore (the grandfather of the current owner), had a bookshop since 1907. He bought Ahlin´s collection in 1942 and was interviewed in Östersund-Posten on January 28: "The public may have an idea of the size of the collection, when I mention that I needed 14 fully loaded taxis to get the books home".
