Contemporary brown full leather, worn, faded spines in five compartments, damages at head and foot, redspeckled edges. Pp. 179-184 in vol. I with damage in inner margin and some loss of text. Some minor foxing. Old signature on titles and first endpaper. 2 volumes.
Atabey 1170. Second edition of this important work, first published in 1678. This is the first description of Athens which was systematic, detailed and trustworthy. Wheler´s own account of the journey was published in 1682.
