A beautiful map of Denmark and what is now southern Sweden (after 1658). Published for a French edition of the Mercator / Hondius "Atlas sive cosmographicae" published in many editions in several languages between 1606 and the mid 1600s.
The atlas was originally published by Gerhard Mercator a few months after his death in 1595 and Jodocus Hondius bought the printing plates in 1604 and reissued the atlas in 1606.
