Worn contemporary half calf with gilt spine with raised bands, sprinkled boards and edges. Label and stamps of Kungl. Lantbruksakademiens bibliotek. A few faint stains, but overall a clean copy.
Johann Gottlieb Georgi (1729-1802) was a German naturalist and geographer. He accompanied the Swedish botanist and Linnean disciple Johan Peter Falck on his expedition to south-eastern Russia 1768-74. After Falck committed suicide in 1774, Georgi edited the former´s notes and published them in 1785.
