Folio. 290 x 183 mm. (32), 408 pp.Worn contemporary calf. Some stains, a few tears. Closely shaved, partial loss of pagination on a few pages. Owner´s signature of William Maister, dated 1724, on title.

Volume 1 only (of 2). William Maister was probably an English merchant, who moved to Stockholm at the beginning of the 1730´s (Carl Forsstrand: Linné i Stockholm, 1915).
With eulogies by John Sheffield, duke of Buckingham, Anne countess of Winchelsea, mr. Wycherley, Fr. Kapp, E. Fenton, T. Parnell and Simon Harcourt.
