8vo. 157 x 98 mm. (6), 388 pp. Engraved fontispiece, 3 engraved plates, of which 1 folding. Title printed with red and black. Worn contemporary half calf. Minor stains. Damp in margin of the first 4 leaves. Rectangular incision in right edge of title. Owner´s signature of J. H. (?) v. Vicken on front board inside and on title.
First edition in French. Parody on older and contemporary geological theories.
