8vo. 214 x 132 mm. X, (1, 1 blank), 430, VIII, 420 pp. 3 engraved maps, of which 1 folding, 12 plates, of which 11 lithographed and 1 engraved. Woodcut illustrations in the text. Red later morocco spines with richly gilt spines, marbled boards and marbled edges (Håkan Wahlström). The folding map with reapaired tear, repair in lower corner of one plate. 2 volumes.

Provenance: Nils G. Ahlin (Ulriksfors, Sweden, owned the largest private book collection in north of Sweden, about 6000 volumes).
Erik Hallqvist, Östersund (born 1887, the grandfather of the current owner), had a bookshop since 1907. He bought Ahlin´s collection in 1942 and was interviewed in Östersund-Posten on January 28: "The public may have an idea of the size of the collection, when I mention that I needed 14 fully loaded taxis to get the books home".
