8vo. 215 x 133 mm. (2), X, 479, (1) pp. 9 woodcut platyes, woodcut illustration on title. Green later half morocco with gilt spine with raised bands, marbled cloth boards with gilt filets and marbled edges (G. Hedberg). Spine faded to light brown. Some very light foxing, otherwise a clean and bright copy.
Bring, Itineraria Svecana, 802. First edition. Translated into Swedish in 1871, under the title ´Svenska allmogens plägseder´.
Provenance: Nils G. Ahlin (Ulriksfors, Sweden, owned the largest private book collection in north of Sweden, about 6000 volumes).
Erik Hallqvist, Östersund (born 1887, the grandfather of the current owner), had a bookshop since 1907. He bought Ahlin´s collection in 1942 and was interviewed in Östersund-Posten on January 28: "The public may have an idea of the size of the collection, when I mention that I needed 14 fully loaded taxis to get the books home".
