4:o (325x245). 118 (first and last leaf blank) pp. 32 tipped-in photogravure plates (all) by Goodwin.
Publisher´s gilt decorated boards, worn, damages in the margins, brown and brownspotted, gilt-lettered art vellum spine.
Printed in 250 numbered, by Goodwin signed copies, this is an unnumbered archival copy signed: "Herr Olsens eget arkivexemplar med tacksam hälsning från Henry Buergel Goodwin Februari 1919".

First edition of Goodwin´s book on Anders De Wahl, one of the leading Swedish actors during the first half of the twentieth century. Contributions by i.a. Prins Wilhelm, Georg Brandes, Anna Branting, August Brunius, Carl G. Laurin, and Ida & Henry Goodwin.
Henry Buergel Goodwin (1876-1931), Germanborn important Swedish artistic portrait photographer. He was a pupil of Nicola Perscheid in Leipzig. In 1914 he founded his portrait studio, "Kamerabilder. The Pictorial Portrait Studio", at Strandvägen 7b in Stockholm.

Provenance: Lars Hall (1938-2018), prominent in Swedish public relations, designer and art collector, who studied at Konstfack in Stockholm. Hall was an Art Director and one of the founders of the advertising agency Hall & Cederquist AB in 1973. He also started Gallery Camera Obscura and later Lars Hall AB, (art direction and design). He was also an avid collector of books and Fine Art photography.
