COMPOSITE ATLAS. HOMANN, J. B. Bequemer Handatlas .... Nürnberg 1754.
Folio (505x310 mm.). 35 mostly handcoloured engraved maps, [mostly old colour], of which 25 belongs to Homann´s Handatlas which is complete. With engraved text title (soiling and spotting).

Maps in various conditions, some faded impressions, many with reinforced margins on verso, partly yellowed, some spotting and soiling, some dampstaining, some maps with tears, mostly marginal, some folds, Europe (damaged, yellowed), China with folds and hole.

Consists of amongst others:
Homann Handatlas: World, Europe (damaged, yellowed), Asia, Africa, America, Spain, Portugal, France, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Russia.

Other maps: Allard, L´isle de Re avec ses environs, c. 1700, inset of the bombardment of Olonne-sur-Mer en 1696, [Rome] Nolli, Silvio Valenti urbis ichonographiam, 1748 (tears to folds, repairs, tears to margins), [China] Haas-Homann heirs, Regni Sinae vel Sinae Propriae, c. 1740 (folds, hole with minor loss in folding, dampstains to margins).

Contemporary half calf (worn and rubbed). In folio (510x325 mm.).
Bookplate of Christian Hammer. Small monogram stamp of Gabriel Marklin, Swedish bibliograph and book collector.

Christian Hammar (1818-1905), a court jeweler to the Royal Swedish court, who also had the largest 19th century library in Scandinavia.
