ATLAS VOLUME TO HISTOIRE GENERALE DES VOYAGES - PREVOST D´EXILES, ANTOINE FRANCOIS. No place or date (about 1760).
4to (ca 240x195 mm.). 74 partly folding engraved maps by Bellin (maps dated from about 1738-70). Maps with some dampstains, mostly to lower margin, some with tears to folds (especially world map), some spotting and soiling. Sizes varies, large world map about 505x710 mm, otherwise smaller.
Contemporary half calf, richly gilt spine, rubbed and worn, especially edges, damages to spine. Spine with gilt title "Carte des voyages".
Amongst others: World map, Americas and West Indies (32 of which 9 on North America), Africa (11), Asia (19, of which Japan, Kamtchatka, the Phillipines, Siberia), Australia etc. (4).
A handwritten list of all maps can be sent on request.
