Engraved map with later colouring, with two figurative cartouches (title cartouche with the lion of Venice, depicting the Turks as "devils", thrown out of the Paradise by the angels /cherubim of Venice), c. 460x550 mm. Engraved by J. de Broen. Framed.
Rare map, it appeared in Blaeu´s Atlas Novus, but was made for Dapper and his work on Morea (Naukeurige beschryving van Morea, 1688).
According to note on the back (of the frame), the colouring has been made by Swedish graphic artist Stig Borglind in 1962.
